Marriage License Notary Requirements

With Miami Beach Notary 305 on your side, there's no reason to get cold feet about notarizing your marriage license. We've comprised a short list of everything you need to know so you can feel confident on your special day.

Here's what you need to know:

• Both parties to the marriage must have valid Identification present in order to legally verify the identity of those being married.
• The marriage license has a designated section for two witnesses to sign. However, witnesses are NOT required by law in order for your marriage license to be official. The witness section is only OPTIONAL. If you prefer to use witnesses, you can choose your own or we can provide witnesses upon request.
• You have 60 days to complete the notarization of the marriage license before the document expires. If the application expires, you must reapply.
• You have 10 days from the day the license is notarized to return the notarized marriage license to the city before the license expires.
